Fennek - armored recon vehicle

The Fennek ist a light weight 4-wheel-amored recon vehicle of the Bundeswehr. The main application for it is the recce. The vehicles were first used in real combat in Afghanistan, where they had to stand some real tests. Some highlights of this vehicle are the thermal camera, the Black/White-camera and a laser distance measurement device. The cameras are all mounted on a movable head which can be pushed into an height of 3,30 meters. This camera can also be put down of the vehicle and can be operated in a distance of 40 meters. The vehicle also uses a ground sensor to be able to measure enemy movement. The weaponry is operatable from inside the car. On the platform can be mounted a machine gun or an automatic grenade launcher.
